Mountain bikes in Gisburn Forest

There are a number of mountain bike trails created within the Gisburn Forest. These are based on existing forest roads and offer a variety of routes with a cycle network of 16km length. Contact the Forestry Commission for further details on 01229 860010.

Excellent hot drinks, light meals, snacks and sandwiches may be found nearby in the beautiful village of Slaidburn at the Riverbank Tearooms. More substantial meals, a good pint of beer, warm fire and accommodation are available at the historic "Hark to Bounty Inn" in Slaidburn.

Slaidburn also has the nearest Public Toilets to Gisburn Forest.

"The Dog & Partridge" Public House at Tosside is currently undergoing major refurbishment, but is open (for drinks only) 12 noon to 11pm on Sundays, and evenings 7pm - 11pm Tuesday to Saturday.
